We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a proven B2B track record in digital to join our team, based in Norwich with regular visits to our London office.
You’ll be a key player in the growth of the agency, bringing new clients in and also working with the team to grow existing accounts, keeping the pipeline full of great opportunities.
You’ll contribute to business development strategy shoulder to shoulder with the directors, planning who and how to approach new brands, constantly evolving the methodology, tools and technology we use.
Reporting directly to our Commercial Director, your responsibilities will include qualifying inbound leads, seeing through the leads generated by our outbound business development executive, leading pitches, supporting the conversion of prospects from existing clients, and helping to guide our digital agency into new revenue streams.
As the agency offers a series of digital specialisms, a consultative approach and knowledge of digital marketing, build and UX will help you understand client needs and improve conversion rates.

The right candidate will have
At least 3 years experience in selling websites and digital marketing face to face, with full responsibility for leading the process from lead to conversion
Experience with planning approaches and pitches, and supporting the development of compelling proposals which meet with client’s needs and objectives
Confidence and excellent communication skills – you will need to build trust with clients and across our departments, forming strong working relationships with our team
Ability to generate leads through networking and attending events, researching and building prospect lists, reviving old contacts as well as following up on leads generated internally
Collaborative outlook, working alongside the Selesti marketing team and Client Experience Director to fulfil our growth plan
Experience managing and maintaining a CRM system
A proven ability to understand the needs of clients and take technical specifications
A track record of high sales performance
Comfort gaining the trust of C-suite executives of SME’s
Excellent presentation skills and familiarity with the pitch process.
Strong industry network (both agency and client side)
Attention to detail on existing accounts to ensure hard won business is developed
Experience and strong knowledge of digital marketing, web development, UX highly sought after
Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills
Innate organisational skills and discipline around pipeline management
Willingness to learn and try new methodologies with an ambition to excel in the role
